The ScoutGuard or the Bushnell Trophy Cam are both made at the same factory. They sell for right around $200. They run on 8AA batteries. I have mine out 24/7/365, and never had dead batteries. I change them every 3-4 months just to make sure they don't die on me. They take good pics, and I believe the trigger speed is as good or better than any other cam under $500. Both cams will do video, which is fun, and they are IR at night. If you want to see some pics or video let me know.
Any problems with those cameras not getting pictures when the weather gets really cold?
I would love to see some pictures if you want to post them.
